Tech giant Huawei is working on a “self-learning” system that can identify when drivers are drunk.
The system is designed for future cars with both autonomous and manual driving features, to stop an intoxicated driver from taking over control of their driverless car.
Using artificial intelligence, the car will assess the driver’s condition and decide on the appropriate action to take – from a verbal warning to locking up controls and even calling the police.
