THOUSANDS of people across the UK were hit with double charges on their debit cards after a terminal error took their money twice.

On August 29, 2018, thousands of Brits were hit with double charges to their debit cards following an error with Cardnet terminals, which are used in many outlets.

Cardnet is a joint venture between Lloyds Bank and First Data.

The company, which processes card payments in shops and restaurants, has admitted that some card terminals took duplicate payments due to a computer glitch.The majority of affected transactions involved Visa debit cards.Read More..
