The acquisition, which the companies announced Thursday in a joint news release, will give Availa Bank 16 branches in 14 Iowa communities.
Availa Bank said it plans to retain all current employees of the acquired branches once the purchase becomes final. The two banking companies have entered a purchase and assumption agreement and expect the transaction to be completed by June 30.
